| Abstract: | Optically active 3-butyn-2-ol, an important building block, was synthesized successfully using lipase-catalyzed kinetic resolution. Starting from the thus obtained 3-butyn-2-ol, several 4-aryl-substituted compounds were synthesized enantioselectively. |
