Abstract:	The synthesis of enantiomerically pure orthogonally protected δ-azaproline has been performed in five steps including two successive Mitsunobu reactions starting from benzyloxycarbonylaminophthalimide and the (R)-α-hydroxy-γ-butyrolactone.
