| Abstract: | Condensing substituted l-aryl-5-hydroxyindoles with bisdimethylaminomethane, or sodium-alcohol reduction of l-aryl-2-methyl-3-acetyl-5-methoxyindoles gives 4-dimethylaminomethyl and 3-alkylamino derivatives of 1-aryl-5-hydroxy (methoxy) indole, isolated as the hydrochlorides. |
