Convergence of the fixed pivot technique for continuous Smoluchowski coagulation equation

In this work, the fixed pivot technique (FPT) 2] is analyzed for nonlinear continuous Smoluchowski coagulation equation on four different types of grids. More importantly, the FPT gives the accuracy of second order for uniform and geometric grids while it reduces the order of accuracy by one on a locally uniform grid.
