Magnetic nanoparticles separation based on nanostructures

Abstract:This study describes a magnetic array, which consists of depositing Fe nanowires on a porous alumina membrane. Such a device can be used as a planar magnetic separator. Its performance for the collection of Fe3O4 nanoparticles is experimentally shown. For magnetization of such iron nanowires in the vertical direction, we propose equations to calculate the theoretical absorption ratio.
