| Abstract: | The concept of constrained layer damping with vitreous enamel has been experimentally evaluated. The constraining layer markedly broadens the free layer damping peak. The broadening has been explained on the basis of two simultaneous energy dissipation mechanisms and is related to the vitreous enamel's loss factor and viscosity. |
