Kinetic Energy Density of the Two-Electron Hookean Atom in Terms of the Ground-State Electron Density

Abstract:An explicit expression is derived for the kinetic energy density, including the correlation contribution, in terms of the ground-state electron density for the two-electron Hookean atom. This model atom has the merit that while the electrons are tied to an origin by springs, the Coulomb interaction energy between the two electrons is fully incorporated.
