The conductivity and the longitudinal sound attenuation above the peierls transition point

Abstract:We explain the anomalous peak of the conductivity by applying the pinning mechanism at T = 0 to the case above the Peierls transition temperature. The longitudinal sound attenuation coefficient (αL) is calculated also. The sound is attenuated essentially through a pair of charge density wave fluctuations.
