Abstract:Both electric field and magnetic field modulation laser spectroscopic techniqueswere used for the measurement of the spectral band of NO2 molecule near 593um. The electricmodulation spectrum originates from the first or the second order Stark effect of NO2, whilethe magnetic modulation spectrum is only from the first order Zeeman effect. They could givemore information about molecular energy levels than a zero-field absorption spectrum. Thisspectroscopic technique is very useful for simplifying the structure of molecular spectrum andfor the assignment of molecular transition lines.
