| Abstract: | A section of a fluid-conveying pipeline is analyzed for stability. The section is modeled by an elastic cylindrical shell
of finite length under external static loading. Two qualitatively different instability modes are studied: “quasistatic” (divergence)
and dynamic (flutter). The effect of uniform radial pressure and uniform axial pressure on the instability modes is analyzed |
