Elektronenlawinen und elektrischer Durchschlag in KBr-Kristallen

^90m Nb was produced by the reaction⁹⁰Zr(d, 2n). Comparison of its half-lives in two different chemical environments (Nb atoms in metallic Zr and in the niobium-fluoride complex) showed no difference greater than the experimental error of 1%, whileCooper et al. have reported that the half-life of^90m Nb nuclei is shorter by 3.6% in metallic Nb than in the niobium-fluoride complex. — In addition, the absolute value of the half-life of^90m Nb in metallic Zr was determined to beT _1/2=(19.2±0.3) sec.
