Effects of Atomic Centre-of-mass Motion in T-C Model
Abstract:We have re-examined the dynamics of two interacting two-level atoms in an inhomogeneous ring cavity, the analytical expression of spontaneous emission spectrum is explicitly derived. We find that the Doppler shift caused by the atomic centre-of-mass motion modifies the phenomenon of collapses and revivals in the occupation probability, and decreases the spontaneous emission. There appear many peaks in the spontaneous emission spectrum when the momentum of atomic centre-of-mass obeys Gaussian distribution. Particularly, the height of those peaks depends on the width of the Gaussian packet.
