| Abstract: | The title reaction is found synthetically useful and the stereochemical sudy has revealed that carbocationic intermediates are involved in the reaction of endo-2-acetoxy-norcarane, its epimer, and acetates of cis- and trans-carveol with trimethylaluminum. |
