| Abstract: | The theoretical calculations using INDO-RHF CI method have demonstrated that the reaction of singlet oxygen with 1,2,3-trimethylindoles proceeds via a zwitterionic peroxide intermediate. The calculations provide important predictions for the mechanism of enamine-singlet oxygen reactions. |
