| Abstract: | Adhesive contact with exponential adhesive interaction is simulated with the use of the method of dimensionality reduction. The developed procedure is illustrated with an example of adhesion of a cylindrical punch and an elastic half space. However, it is general and can be used for any form of interaction potential and any form of indenter. |
