Abstract:The corrosion behaviors of zinc and Zn-In alloy in KOH solution containingpolyoxythylene ether are studied by the electrochemical techniques. The experimentalresults showed that the corrosion of Zn-ln alloy was obviously inhibited by the addition ofpoyoxyethylene ether- The anodic adsorption and desorption of the inhibitor were foundfrom the cyclic polarization curves. There are some unique features on the electrochemicalimpedance spectra of Zn-In in the alkaline solutions containing the inhibitor. All theseexperimental phenomena were discussed according to some related theories.
