Domain decomposition for a parabolic convection‐diffusion problem

A two‐dimensional convection‐diffusion problem of parabolic type is considered. A multidomain decomposition algorithm with nonoverlapping subdomains based on a upwind scheme and on a piecewise equidistant mesh is investigated. Uniform in a perturbation parameter convergence properties of the algorithm are established. Numerical experiments complement the theoretical results. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
