Abstract: | Hamam, S.E.M., Benson, G.C. and Kumaran, M.K., 1986. Calculations of excess enthalpies from equations of state for binary liquid mixtures of an n-alkane with a hexane isomer. Fluid Phase Equilibria, 25: 161-169.The Soave—Redlich—Kwong and Peng-Robinson equations of state are used to represent the molar excess enthalpies of a number of binary liquid systems formed by mixing an n-alkane with an isomer of hexane at 298.15 K. The need for a non-zero binary interaction coefficient cij is demonstrated and appropriate values are recommended. |
