Influence of the mean free path of reactant particles on the kinetics of diffusion-controlled reactions: Escape probability of geminate recombination

Abstract:The escape probability of geminate particles between which no long-range force acts is calculated as a function of their mean free path. The escape probability increases significantly with an increase in their mean free path, especially when their initial separation is small.
