Abstract:
Alkyl-substituted pyridine-2-carboxylic acids have been found to be efficient reagents for the extraction of Cu2+, Fe3+, Co2+ and Ni2+ from aqueous sulfate solutions at pH 1.7. The effects of the position and the nature of the substituent are discussed.
