| Abstract: | The use of electrolysis in analytical atomic spectrometry is reviewed. Topics such as electrodeposition for analyte enrichment, electrochemical sample pretreatment and hydride generation are discussed. The use of batch and flow-through electrochemical cells is compiled and critically evaluated. Flow-through cells with porous working electrodes were found to provide the best performance for analyte enrichment. |
