Abstract:Using coherent photon seeding (CPS) technique, we have dramatically improved the quality and the stability of pulses generated from a synchronously pumped dyelaser. Near Fourier-transform limited pulses are obtained. Especially, we have observed frequency hopping for the too high level of feedback, and a reasonable explanation is given.
