Abstract: | The mathematical analysis of a model for substrate concentration in tissue is presented. The model consists of a single capillary from which substrate diffuses into a surrounding cylinder of tissue. The substrate is consumed at a rate proportional to the amount present. The results correlate well with those obtained from a similar model with a constant consumption rate. |
