Effect of microwave exposure on the morphology of calcium hydroxyapatite nanocrystals synthesized from aqueous solutions

Abstract:The results of physicochemical examination (chemical analysis, XRD, IR spectroscopy) of the products synthesized in the Ca(OH)2–H3PO4–H2O system under microwave exposure are used to analyze the composition–synthesis conditions–structure–dispersion–properties relationships and to determine the effect of microwave irradiation on the size and morphology of the synthesized calcium hydroxyapatite (Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2) nanocrystals.
