| Abstract: | An F − /Cl − ligand exchange in the stable organopalladium fluoro complex 1 generates naked fluoride ions in unusually high concentrations. The released F− readily fluorinates dichloromethane under exceedingly mild conditions and deprotonates chloroform to produce dichlorocarbene. |
