Study on the mechanism of Schiemann reaction by mass spectrometry

Schiemann reaction of 12 aryl diazonium fluoborates was studied by mass spectrometry. The products and by-products of the reactions were identified and the possible pathways were explored. It is shown that Schiemann reaction proceeds by free-radical mechanism.
