| Abstract: | A new phenolic compound, clinopodphenol A (1), together with six known ones, was isolated from the whole plant of Clinopodium urticifolium. The structure of 1 was elucidated by spectroscopic methods, including extensive 1D- and 2D NMR techniques. The anti-HIV-1 activity and cytotoxicity
were evaluated for compound 1. It showed significant potential cytotoxic ability and moderate anti-HIV-1 activity. |
