Waves in the Presence of an Infinite Dock with Gap

After extending some completeness results of an earlier paper,the two-dimensional problem of the infinite dock with gap isconsidered. With the frequency and 2 the non-dimensional lengthof the gap, eigenvalues of K = ²/g are first computed and thentheir apparent asymptotic form is established not only to orderK^–1 but also up to terms in K^–2.
