Structure of the Blend Membrane of Regenerated Silk Fibroin and Glucose Oxidase and Its Application to Glucose Sensor
Abstract:Abstract

Regenerated silk fibroin was successfully used to immobilize glucose oxidase and the structure of the blend membrane was investigated. The molecules of glucose oxidase in the membrane were in aggregates. Glucose sensor was fabricated by coupling the blend membranes with Clark electrode. Its kinetic constants such as apparent Michael's constants Km app, maximal current response ΔSmax and apparent activation energies Ea of the reaction, effects of pH, temperature and ethanol on the sensor were examined.
