The Use of Charge Transfer Complexation in the Spectrophotometric Determination of Some Corticosteroid Drugs Through Intermediate Oxime Formation

Abstract

Two spectrophotometric procedures for the assay of three corticosteroid drugs through oximation and subsequent charge transfer complexation with two electron acceptor substances are proposed. The optimum experimental conditions, and molar ratio of reactants were studied. The applicability of the proposed procedures to assay the tested compounds in tablets from and comparison with an official method revealed the reliability, sensitivity and accuracy of the suggested procedures.
