Automatic Carbon,Hydrogen, Nitrogen,Sulfur Analyzer Ciiemistry of Sulfur Reactions |
| |
Abstract: | Abstract An automatic analyzer for the simultaneous microdetermination of carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, and sulfur is described. The method is based on the uncatalyzed, dynamic, flash-combustion of the sample in an oxygen/helium atmosphere in a quartz tube. Separation of the combustion gases, N2, CO2, SO2, and H2O is accomplished by using gas chromatography and a thermal conductivity detector. Reactions of SO2 formation are given in detail. |
