Compared with other chips(such as 8031,8751),it has many advantages of being easier to program,reliable,economic in power consumption and low cost. This article introduces the construction,function and principle of the infrared remote control timer controlled by AT89C51. It describes the basic structure and chart of control program. The result of experiments shows that the properties of this control circuit are excellent and its running is smooth.
