Abstract:An approximate method proposed by Hagelstein has been adopted to evaluate dielectronic recombination (DR) rate coefficients for five Ne-like ions. with atomic number Z= 26, 30, 36, 39,and 42. The detailed level-to-level fitted parameters are presented describing DR for these Ne-like ions from the ground states via the 3l3l'manifold to the Na-like nonautoionizing states. In order to test the accuracy of the method, the exactly calculated results for the level-to-level DR rate coefficients of the Zn20 and Y29 ions are given. Comparisons show that the method pretty accurately describe the DR. In the present work. the partial DR rate coefficients from the 3l3l' intermediate autoionizing states for the five Ne-like ions are also presented, and compared with available data.
