| Abstract: | Post-column addition of naphthalene vapour to the effluent from a wide-bore capillary gas chromatographic column, prior to gas-phase fluorescence detection, was used to detect fluorescent and non-fluorescent species as positive and negative peaks, respectively. Quenching constants were determined for nitrobenzene and cyclohexanone using indirect detection. |
