Effects of carbodiimides as coupling agents on the stability of immobilized aldolases

Abstract:Pig muscle aldolase was covalently attached to a polyacrylamide support possessing carboxylic functional groups activated by various water-soluble disubstituted carbodiimides. The stability and the degree of microheterogeneity of the immobilized aldolases were shown to depend on the structure of the carbodiimide used as coupling agent.
