Investigation of the effect of the pressure oscillation intensity on the quality of dispersion of a gas in a liquid

Abstract:The results of an experimental investigation of the effect of the intensity of the pressure oscillations in a wave disperser on the quality of dispersion of a gas in a liquid are given. The results were obtained by designing an apparatus that ensures the variation of the oscillation amplitude at a constant frequency. It is shown that the pressure oscillation amplitude significantly affects the degree of dispersion of the gas in the liquid, a higher quality of dispersion being achieved at the maximum oscillation amplitude. The high quality of dispersion is confirmed both by photos of the flow patterns of the gas-liquid mixture flowing from the disperser and by the kinetic characteristics of dissolution of atmospheric oxygen in water.
