| Abstract: | Photoswitching of 'on' and 'off' coordination sites in a self assembled monolayer containing the 4-(arylazo)pyridine chromophore has been achieved using the evanescent field and illustrated through coordination and photon induced release of zinc tetraphenylporphyrin. |
