The application of generalized Cole-Hopf substitutions in compressible-fluid hydrodynamics

Abstract:The method for integrating nonlinear equations using generalized Cole-Hopf substitutions is extended to the 1+2 dimension. The general structure of the solutions to the Euler equations for 2D compressible-fluid flows is analyzed. A method is developed for constructing new exact solutions to describe 2D flows of compressible and incompressible fluids.
