Abstract: | New approaches to interpretation of experimental data for the vibration frequency measured by quartz microbalance are considered. Analytical expressions for the surface energy and thickness parameter of the adlayer are derived. It is shown theoretically that the ambient pressure may have a significant influence on the adsorption and surface energy in experiments with quartz microbalance. |
