Darstellung und metallaustausch der cluster (RGe)2Co4(CO)11

The reaction of RGeHal₃ (R  Me, t-Bu, Ph) with KCo(CO)₄ yields the trinuclear nuclear clusters RGeCo₃ (CO)₉ and in the case of R  t-Bu or Ph the tetranuclear clusters (RGe)₂ Co₄(CO)₁₁. Under CO the yield of (RGe)₂Co₄(CO)₁₁ is increased. In (t-BuGe)₂Co₄(CO)₁₁ metal exchange can be performed with [CpMo(CO)₃]₂ producing the cluster (t-BuGe)₂Co₃MoCp(CO)₁₀.
