Photon-echo decay due to weak velocity-changing collisions

Using statistical arguments, we derive an exact expression (valid for any collision kernel) for the decay of a two-pulse photon echo in the limit in which the decay occurs as the result of “weak” (glancing) velocity-changing collisions.
