| Abstract: | Combination of the pyrene and benzoylthiophene units constitutes an interesting approach to design bichromophoric photosensitizers with increased intersystem crossing quantum yield and enhanced selectivity. The potential of this strategy has been illustrated in the present work by using a model photoisomerization reaction. |
