Abstract: | Copper(II) oxide nanoparticles have been synthesized from Cu(OAc)2 via a simple hydrolysis route and were found to be an efficient and inexpensive catalyst for ligand free C? S cross‐coupling reactions of malononitrile? CS2 adduct with various aryl halides. Aryl iodides and bromides, with electron‐withdrawing as well as electron‐releasing groups on the aromatic ring, undergo coupling reactions in good yields. |
