| Abstract: | The stereoselective formal synthesis of (?)‐cyclaradine from the inexpensively available starting material L ‐glutamic acid is described, using Eschenmoser's reagent, and applying Luche reduction, Grignard reaction, and ring closing metathesis (RCM) as the key steps. |
