| Abstract: | A catalytic amount of N-nitroso-2-aryl-1,3-oxazolidines leading to the aromatization of Hantzsch 1,4-dihydropyridines (DHPs) was successfully achieved. A catalytic mechanism for the reaction is proposed. |
