The Discrete Cosserat Eigenfunctions for a Spherical Shell

Abstract:The Papkovich-Neuber potential method is applied to obtain the discrete Cosserat eigenvalues and eigenvectors for the boundary value problems of displacement and traction for a spherical shell. The eigenvalues presented herein correct those obtained by the Cosserats. This revised version was published online in August 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.
