Abstract:
A convenient microwave-assisted process has been applied to prepare stellar Cu2O crystals. The products were characterized via X-ray diffraction pattern (XRD), transmission electron microscopy images (TEM) and UV-VIS absorption spectrum. The results showed that the as-prepared Cu2O stellar crystals have regular shape and uniform size distribution. The influences of microwave irradiation and the concentration of starting agents on the morphology of the products were also discussed.
