Summary Palladium chloride reacts with thiourea to produce a yellow complex compound. The extinction of this solution is insensitive to slight variations of the thiourea content in the range of about 360–380 m in the presence of 10% hydrochloric acid and at least 5 g thiourea per 50 ml of solution. The color is constant for several hours after being brought up to volume. It was shown that, under the prescribed conditions, it is possible to make a photometric determination in the concentration range of 0.8 to 24 g palladium/ml solution.
