| Abstract: | The following rate equation was found for the nitrosation of phenol by nitrous acid to p-nitrosophenol in aqueous solution at constant ionic strength: $$frac{{d(p - C_6 H_4 OHNO)}}{{dt}} = k[C_6 H_5 OH][HNO_2 ].$$ |
