| Abstract: | Because of the high complexity of ITU-T G-723.1 algorithm, this paper present a novel speechcodec-PS-ACELP which is an ACELP algorithm based on pre-searching strategy. The proposed codec iscompatible with bit stream of G.723.1 5.3kbps algorithm, and about equal in speech quality with G.723.1 codec,but the complexity is only around 12 MIPS. How to achieve the low computing complexity is described in detailin section 2 Due to the advantages of high speech quality, low complexity and compatibility with the G.723.15.3kbps algorithm, PS-ACELP is suitable for multi-channel recording and replaying of speech, voice mail andInternet phone etc. |
